Chicken black bean pizza

Pizza is delicious, but even the tastiest of dishes can become dull if we don’t vary in flavor. So add Isadora® for a pizza meal makeover in flavor. 





  • 1 pkg. Isadora® refried black beans
    1 prebaked 12” pizza crust
    1 TBS. olive oil
    4 oz. Pepper jack or jack cheese
  • shredded (1 ½ cups)
    1 TBS. vegetable oil
    Salt and pepper
    1 boneless chicken breast
  • whole (about 8 oz.)
    1 medium avocado
  • sliced
  • Mango salsa:
    1 medium mango
  • peeled
  • seeded
  • and chopped
    ¼ cup minced red onion
    ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
    2 TBS. fresh lime juice
    ½ fresh jalapeno
  • finely minced
    ¼ tsp. Salt

How to Cook

  1. 1 Combine salsa ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. 2 Season chicken breast, lightly, on both sides with salt and pepper. In a medium skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium high heat until shimmering. Add chicken breast and sauté on both sides until light golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Slice thinly and set aside. Preheat oven to 450º F.
  1. 3 Place pizza crust on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Spread with Isadora® refried black beans leaving ½” edge. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese.
  2. 4 Place in preheated oven and reduce oven temperature to 425° F. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and distribute sliced chicken breast evenly over the pizza. Return to the oven for 1 minute to heat chicken. Remove and add sliced avocado; serve with mango salsa.
